On my new motor there is a plug in this hole. on my 89' that is my daily driver it is used. does anyone know what screws in this hole? almost started the motor w/o it.
yeah, that's where your oil sending unit mounts. Don't start the car w/o it, oil will come outta there real quick. On your n/a car it's got a sending unit threaded into the piece that goes into the head that your oil pressure gauge on your dash gets it's reading from.
Well its got a allen head plug in it. can i start it if its pluged? or not? thanx for the quick reply 140, hopefully ill be breakin in the motor today.
yah, if it's got a plug in it yes. If it were a turbo car - then no, it's the oil supply for our turbo's. Make sure you've got oil pressure, you may want to crank the motor over and see oil coming from the sending unit hole before putting the allen in and firing it up.
wew, just installed it. that was harder then my ect sensor. now the little plug that plugs into the sending unit is too small to fit around the nipple thingy. grrrr. i love mustangs, they proove that anger managment dont work.
