what makes a cam choppy?

    What makes the cam chop?..... is it the LSA?... someone told me the lower the lsa the more the choppier.



    Like how choppy would this cam be 560/.575 lift, 225/235 .050" 108 LSA

    I believe its the lift that affects the lope

    It's the intake and exhaust valves overlapping each other. In other words when the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time.

    ...and that is a combination of duration and LSA. The lope is cylinder misfires, which are caused by extremely poor compression due to these factors at low RPM.
