I wanna see if I can save a few bucks and buy an SCT chip used. What's the model number I need to look for? And how much is a good price or how much should I expect to pay?

Any of them work well with proper tuning. Don't pay too much though, because any dealer will charge for tuning it. I did see someone had an SCT chip used for $300 on a bunch of sites recently - may be a good deal, but considering we sell the same thing with a switch cable and switch, plus four tunes included for $269, brand new, it isn't all that great of a deal.

right, 300 is a rip off! I just want to know what the model number is of the one that will fit and work with our processors. The guy I'm gonna take it to will reburn it for 50 bucks plus 100 bucks for dyno time.

Don, is your chip a SCT chip? Could I buy one from you? When you say comes with tunes, do you mean tunes from a dyno session or mail order type tunes?

The chips we list are for 1988-2004 Mustangs. Before you get one we'd need to know your specific combo so we can customize it for you. If you email me at don@lasotaracing.com I can email you a combo template in MS Word format that you can send back to me filled out.

well, I'm not about to pay 400.00 for a chip! The guy whose gonna tune my car wanted 550.00 to tune it. If he's charging me 150.00 for a tune/reburn, then that stands to reason that he's getting that much for a chip. If figure if you're giving someone your tuning business, they should at least cut you some slack on the chip. The tuning is all labor, 100% profit, well that is after the dyno is paid for...lol...
