I know this is a fairly old post, but....

I was looking around for a place to powder coat something, and I found that looking in the phone book really doesn't reveal a whole hell of a lot. If you ask around auto shops (Autoclone, Napa, etc.), and even some garages, you'd be amazed at how many people working there know of places around town that seemingly no one else knows about!

    Just an FYI...

In my area, we have The Talking Phonebook. Depending on what phone company you have, you can download the entire phonebook online, which makes searching for specialty shops much easier.

I say this because Chroming and powder coating shops like this, aren't always found in the automotive section. Besides, I hate thumbing though a four inch thick phonebook.
