    I beg to differ.

A 5 lug swap would be nice, but I dont want to spend the money on the FMS cobra conversion kit, and I dont want to put junkyard parts on the car.

5 lug switches are the equivilant of a 1 legged man at an arse kicking contest... he just so happens to have 6 toes on his 1 foot.

Agreed, the only reason Id do a 5 lug swap is for the rear disk.....when Im making enough power to literally tear the wheel off the axle, then Ill do a 5 lug swap.

Amen. Not trying to start a :flame:

But why in the heck does every young 5.0 owner despise 4 lugs??? Who cares

Seriously guys, if someone were to pull up to one of my buddies or me and say, "Ha ha loser still has 4 lugs!!!" I'd probably follow him to his house and rape his cat :p

Doesn't make sense to me :rlaugh:

 4-lugs are fine for me too. i dunno why some people hate them so much? are there less options for 4-lug?

Been down the 4 lug route...

Now going to 5 lug 4 way discs...

It is cheap enough now to do it the right way, I dont see why everyone does it! I am all for the junkyard (even tho none of it comes from a yard) route.

Yes, usually there are less wheel options for 4 lugs.

I don't mind my 4 lugs. It's not like I'm going "OMG I NEED 5 LUGS!". I've got more important things to spend my money on before I go to 5 lugs. It just looks a lot better to have 5 lugs, plus you get disc brakes on the rear.

I really don't know why they put 4 lugs on these cars anyway. Hell, my friends '89 Probe has 5 lugs.

I think my Tempo was 5 lug.....Our cars were made as cheap as ford could...2 gauges to small of wires...4 lugs...the plastic they used for the headlights (that's way they turn yellow)...wherever they could save a few bucks they did

The 4 lug 5 spoke wheels look bad because they are not symmetrical. They look unbalanced and just off.

yea, but not all of them look like that. think it depends on who made them.
my 17x9s look right, and the 17x9s black Rs on strypes car look fine too.

They are all non-symmetrical, you can't evenly space 4 lugs on a 5 spoke rim.

I agree with Grover an this one. I gaurantee you would be happier with 5 lug wheels! Just do the sn95 spindles and calipers in the front, ranger drums in the rear for now. That way you can spend some nice $$$ on wheels and not have to worry about buying wheels again when you do some Cobra discs. i was on the verge of buying some 4 luggers last winter, and I cant tell you how happy I am that I did it right. One more item checked off of my list....But if you stay 4 lug, the 04 Cobra wheels do look less bad than some of the other 4 luggers, namely Cobra R's.
