On my wifes Focus, the plastic bumper guard on the driver side started to chip, and then after a few trips to the carwash, it gradually became worse.

Since, I have removed the plastic piece and have begun stripping the factory paint off. I got to OEM paint code off the inside door panel and the Ford guy said they only carry the touch up pens.

I have started looking online at different prices for a mixed aeresol can of the OEM paint and the cheapest I have found is 24.95 for a 12oz can. This seems a little steep for a DIY job, and that doesnt even include shipping.

Can any of you recommend a place to get OEM paint. It doesnt have to be aeresol as I have an air compressor and a spray gun. Just would rather not go through all the work of cleaning the gun out after painting such a small piece.

The Duplicolor paints at the auto stores are pretty good quality, and usually keep the last several years in stock. Pep Boys have ordered paints for me that were older.

An alternative is a local auto paint supply that could possibly mix some up for you and provide you with an aerosol sprayer.
