Well today I ran my 1/0 into the engine bay and I will be hooking everything up next weekend. Now I ran the wire through the rubber seal around the steering shaft. I am thinking about placing the ANL fuse holder beside the bracket for the clutch cable. This is a 92 5.0 by the way. That is the only place I could really find that wasn't in the way of anything and it is straight forward from the steering shaft seal. Where did you guys mount your fuse holder?

Mine is right next to the battery in my engine compartment in a watertight holder screwed down.

place it as close to the battery as possible 18 inches is pushing it so id say where you want it is a bad idea.

Keep it close to the battery, if you use some black looming you can make the wire look somewhat factory, then you can ziptie the fuse holder to some of the other wires that are preexisting. Get a little creative here so you don't have the thing floping around.

Actually it is only about 12 inches from the battery.

The fuse holder is too big to put in wire loom. It is an ANL fuse holder, not an agu and it is waterproof.

Only loom the wire, don't bother trying to loom the holder, you won't find many places that have that big of loom. Sorry If it sounded like I meant for you to loom the holder.

Depending on it's size, you can zip tie it underneath some existing loom. I've seen quite a few that they have screwed their larger, square holders right into the shock towers or the firewall. Just make sure that you have access to it incase you do blow a fuse.
