Hey guys, this is another of my many questions I will be having. I need a T5 tranny for my turbo coupe engine in my LX. I am swapping it from an auto and I want the swap to be as easy as possible.

Should I just get a 4 cyl non-turbo tranny? Whould that bolt right up with no problems? Right now I have to go with what is easy and cheap.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Yep, it'll work. Same basic tranny, just the internals are ever so slightly different between the turbo and non-turbo 2.3's.

So how much power(torque) will an '88 T/C trans stand up to? 265ish,like the early 5.0s do?
I just put one in my STOCK '89 GT (I used a small block Chevy pilot bushing) and I'm HOPING it will be alright. AND I'm looking foward to the steeper 1st gear over the V8 trans!
