Winter driving ?

Hi guys I was wondering would it be possiable to drive a lightning in the snow ? I know one guys up here in Massachusetts does but could it be done ?

There are a lot of trucks up north. You just have to be a little careful on the pedals.

Get a lot of weight in the back (ie. bags of salt, cement blocks, anything). Keep your foot out of it and do everything sloooooooowly. If you start to slide out, DON'T brake it. Turn the wheels to straighten yourself out. It's possible to get around, but the road salt will tear your truck up. The probability of getting hit or you hitting something go way up in snow. I would get a winter junker. Yeah, I'm in NC now but had years of Buffalo winter driving. ; )

Oh yea, find an open parking lot and induce a spin and learn to recover. Our base encouraged this and let us use the Base Hospital parking lot on Sunday afternoons. You'd often see cars sliding around the parking lot and learning how to recover. This led to fewer wrecks on the road.

I drive my snake in Northern Alberta Canada. I do because I enjoy the challange and the way a balanced car feels. The simple fact is get snow tires! It is not impossible to drive a performance car in the white stuff. Practice and smoothness.

Yah I drove my car for 1 winter on the stock tires. It did pretty good accept for a few nights where it snowed really bad. I just washed the car every few days to get the salt off. I decided to buy a 93 tempo for the winter for 900 bucks.

Yup, if can drive them up here you can drive them anywhere.

Snow tires are key. My 01 L with 16 inch wheels and 225 blizzak's was like driving a 4x4 compaired to my 03 cobra. This winter should be interesting with 600rwhp.
