    Wohoo

Salesman called and told me my car has been submitted to build stage and issued me a VIN.
Will be built second week in August with an expected delivery date of Sept 1 05.
Tungsten GT with 18" fanblades. Leather and all that other stuff.

I can't wait..... :canada: :canada: :canada:

Ordered in the start of June.
Salesman has been great to me,,, straight forward and always helpfull... definetly a plus.

He informed me last week that he was awarded 2 allotments in August... guess it depends on whether you dealer is big enough to get allotments.

Still a long wait but at least a little sliver of light has opened up at the end of the tunnel.

It is 103259 for all Mustangs. Very cool number, though. That means yours is the 3258th Mustang in line for production b/c they start with 100001!

    Congrats!

starting at 100001 that would be the 3259th unless you are excluding one when you count.

I searched and couldn't find, but do you guys know when they actually pull/serialize orders? Do they do it daily? or on a certain day of the week? I ordered on 6/1, but I am still C/U. I am the dealer's first '06 order. You guys are making me jealous...haha

Congrats guys...I just found out today as well that my build date is Aug 8th.

BTW, anybody know how locked in things are once build date is issued. What exactly can or cannot be changed? Color? Options? 18" wheels?

My dealer told me NOT to add the 18" wheels cause it would set me back another month. But someone else here is not being delayed. Just hate their glib attitudes...the way they rattle off their uninformed/pat responses to our desperate cry for facts...:fuss:

Wow I didn't think they started until Aug 8th... perhaps with all the hype surrounding these cars there gonna plow ahead.
Make hay while the sun is shining....

You might get a vin of 100002 if your lucky. That would be cool the first 06 mustang. Although I would think these would be saved for the upity ups close to Ford.

Less then 2 months wait now.... at least until I get to drive it.

My Dealer says they pull orders every Thursday. You always got next Thursday. Ask how many allotments your dealer has for August. My dealer confirmed that they were going to get 2 of them. I was number 1.

I may be wrong, but at the last count they were making about 4500 a week (almost 650 a day or about 27 per hour or almost 1 every 2 minutes - quite impressive). Which comes out to about 19000 a month and more than 220,000 a year at current production levels. So yeah they are cranking them out. Thank god for us of course...

Congrats on the car, can't wait for the day mine rolls in...

Keep in mind, some of those numbers go to Mazdas. The guys over at Blue Oval can fill you in.
