Anyone else notice that there's an unofficial comradery between mustang owners? We always park next to eachother, and we always instantly become friends when we see eachother's cars. It's pretty awesome, and i think that's something no other car (other than maybe the wrangler) has

I understand what you're saying and I agree completely. But I have also noticed the same thing with Camaro owners, Vette owners, Ricers, etc.

Yea i notice it as well. I was just in OC and i was aprked at Burger King and this Azure Blue Mach just had to park next to my GT with like 15 other spots closer open. Also, every Mustang down there either gave it a REV or a wave as i passed. Its nice to see other modified GTs showing respect to the other GT's. I had countless mustangs tell me how good my car sounds. Then get really surprised when i tell them its slp loudmouth with a o/r xpipe which is known to be to loud and sounds horrible, but everyone ive run into loves it.

Yeah theres a comradery with Mustangs, but only the moded ones.
And I can tell a moded Stang in seconds by small clues, like exhaust, sound,
or wheels, chin spoiler, custom body parts etc. There are many abused and
neglected GT's running around that the owners are oblivious to comradery.
They are usually dirty, dented, missing parts and basicly...... tore up.

i agree 100%...funny thing is, i have a mustang and my brother has a wrangler...i'm about to supercharge my car he is about to jack his up...he is always talking about his jeep and i'm always talking about my stang...i love the comradery b/c everytime i see a mustang in a parking lot i always park next to it, unless it's a v6 of course :nice:

I see more of a rivalry between owners than a comradery.. around where I am there are a ton of stangs and most just want to one up the next or street race for cash.. I don't even bother with the whole scene

****ing agreed.

all i get is smug looks and thumb downs. i guess they think its a riced out v6 with gt badges but whatever. if they cant tell the difference by the exhaust i dont want to know them anyways.

however there is a very large group of 05+ guys in a local club. they look down on any other model stangs out there like theirs are made of gold. think theyre badass cause one of their guys has a GT500, and apparently he talks **** about my fake gt500 all the time. cant wait to hopefully get my cobra back this weekend, show mr. moneybags whats up.

Maybe this is because you live in Modesto? Lol...no, seriously. Nothing but ricers and american-muscle haters in Fresno/central area.

I usually park next to another nice Mustang when I see one in a parking lot because I figure maybe they will have respect 4 my car & not give me any door dings since we have a so called "comradery"....
