Prelude seats in a fox body?

My buddy has a supercharged RSX and the seats look sporty and are pretty damn comfy. PLus he just found out that his girl has been cheatin on him so he invited me to Nopi Drags at commerce where his car will be in one of the sponsor booths!

I had a nice bolt on 93 Prelude and I loved those freakin seats. Some of the most comfortable seats I've ridden on. I say it's worth the swap. You could probably use the fox brackets, but may have to fab up a small additional piece to line up mounting points. Give it a whirl.

Just choose something with a nice frame underneath to accomodate attaching the Fox tracks to it (in a safe, secure fashion).

On my backburner has been a set of leather seats from a Euro car. There's no rails underneath (the seats didn't even have floor mounted sliders in OEM fashion) so I'm making a subframe to marry the seat to the fox tracks. The seats were such a great deal I had to take what I got. It's gonna be a real pain though.

In hooking them up (they're zillion-way power seats) I just need to ensure I dont explode the air bags in them. :D

In any case, I think seat swaps are cool for guys who dont have upwards of a grand to toss at nice aftermarket seats. Good luck with it. And post up pics (including progress pics) when you're done. :nice:

i recently saw Saturn seats, YES Saturn seats in a 69 Nova. It's a hot rod too. If my uncle the owner of shop didn't tell me so . I would of had no idea and thought they were custom seats. So I'd say there are many seats out there from various Car makers that are OEM that can fit the bill. It's a matter on what you like and what you come across and how creative you are to make em work.
I have never sat in or even looked in a Saturn in my entire life so I would of never known and still don't know what car it came out of.
Good luck

I wonder if people would just be better off installing new seat foams in their stock seats. Most of these cars are 20-25 years old at this point. Some new "cushion for the pushin" might be a more viable alternative? Not to mention keep that factory look?

Honda parts are not for foxbodys sorry but that's the way i see it can you put them in sure its your car if you can fab stuff up they will go in no problem but Honda crap is not for American cars its like weird and ricey all at the same.time but that's just my thoughts on it

My wife's Honda has awesome seats...

Something I thought would be a cool retrofit would be the new Fusion Sport seats. They are VERY nice.
