SCT Tuner Problems

I was trying to tune my car this evening and whenever i tried to, the tuner said that there was a runtime error. its like it was picking up that i had turned the key. wondering if anyone here has had that problem before i call the tuning company tomorrow. thanks. off the tuner is an Xcalibrator2 on a 98 cobra.

I called and talked to an SCT tech, he told me to try it on aonther ford car to see if it was the car or the tuner. turns out the tuner is bad because it wont pick up on either car. they said they would send me a new one since mine seems to be defected
