So, having what seems to be the longest project in history going on with my 351 swap, I ordered what I believe to be the last major parts of the job today, as well as a few other peices for my truck.

On the way is:

Hedman Husler Headers, 1 3/4" with 3 inch collector

Pic018.jpg

Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
Strange 10 Way Adjustables
Hellwig 1 3/8" Front Swaybar
Hellwig 1" Rear Swaybar

In the storage room

Granatelli Tubular K-member
Granatelli Lightweight A-arms
Granatelli Coilover kit w/ 300lb spring rate
S&W Racecars 8 point roll cage
Moroso 351 Swap Pan
Roush Rear Lower Control Arms
(Probably more, but I'm not in the storage room yet)

My Saleen wheels will be picked up on the 4rth, I'll get pictures of that when they're on.

Once the shipped parts get here, I have a work party of 4 or 5 REALLY enthusiastic guys ready to slam into it. I don't have a choice, I NEED to get this finished because....

I just found out that as of July 10th, 2010, I'm posted to Alberta. If I don't get this car running before I leave Ontario, I'm going to be pi$$ed.

I'll be towing the car, on the trailer for 2500 or so miles.

That said, while towing a buddy's car the other day, I noticed that the back of my F150 sags a bit since I put the levelling kit on it...and the 4.6 could use a little bit more power as well - the exhaust and intake don't do much without a tune.

To remedy that, I ordered up a Hellwig Load Leveller and an Edge Evolution tuner, which should fix the sag and power problems.

End result is.....I hope....HOPE....that the next 4 weeks will have many many updates in store for you guys, finally!

Sorry for the long read...

Not a problem Jinx! I'm sure I'll have alot of wiring questions which I'll be throwing up here, as the wiring seems to be quite a mess after a few years of just sitting around. A few vacuum lines broke during disassembly too, but that'll all be dealt with as i get to it

Tom, finally, yes. I took your advice on alot of the powdercoating stuff, though, and the engine looks quite impressive all blacked out

Hahaha, Ryan, I think there was a dedicated build thread a few years back, but I'll start a new - revised one

And you're not that far away, about 7 hours from me

Dan - I'll be going through the states, but if I do decide to go north early, I'll let you know for sure! :nice:

Thanks Paul!

Update, the Struts showed up today, the headers are here now, the clutch is on it's way and the Saleen's are on the car.

I'm not super happy with the stance on the car as it stands now. I might require an extra 1/4 to 1/2in to fill out the rear wells but that's not on my priority list right now.

Tomorrow night, I'm absolutely going to the auto club to remove the k-member, a-arms, and factory struts, in leiu of the Granatelli Parts and Strange Adjustables. At the same time, I'll install the swap pan and swap headers, and attempt to wedge the engine into the car before I leave.

Saturday, I will ensure everything is bolted down, get the midpipe and mufflers mounted, install the Roush LCA's and do some measurements for the side exit exhaust.

After that, I guess it's just a waiting game for the clutch. In the meantime, I will tweak, rewire (there's the hassle) and replace the stock ECU with the AEM unit over the next week or so, given some decent time to work

That said, expect my times to be slower than I say they are, due to the fact that I'm not the mechanic I think I am. I'm guessing that K-member isn't going to be a breeze to get off the car

Wish me luck!
