Serial killers dont drive Evo's! what is the world coming to?
Evo's are damn nice cars. but i think you would regret getting rid of the mustang.
lol where have you been? havnt heard from you in a while... i drove the mustang to work today and it kind of felt good...i forget how good it sounds sometimes....sucks in the rain really bad though
I say look at your options.
1) obviously money is not an issue since you can own two cars, but the question is the mustang paid off?
If the mustang is paid off, at most what could you sell it for vs how much have you paid for it total?
2) Do you have any other cars? Maybe its a good idea to keep it as a backup, you never know when you might need a second car, for example you get stuck on the road or someone crashes into you.
3) If you have children, are they near the driving age? If so maybe its a better idea to keep the car for him or her as a first car.
4) If money is no issue and you have a garage, I would park it, pull the engine and rebuild it from the bottom up, piece by piece. Make it a project car, even if it takes years it will be a car you will love for a long time. Even if you have no car experience this could be a time to learn. You can buy all the tools needed, get videos or help online or on forums or even have forum members help for less than a shop would charge.
5) If you have a wife or gf does she love the mustang? if so keeping it for her to use would mean a less chance of her using your evo.
Once its sold its sold, so good luck with you decision.
Thank you! few things about what options you have gave me.
the mustang has ben paid off for a few years now..thank god lol and it was my only car until now. i guess having a second car for any issues or accidents would be nice..that paid off when my jeep got rear ended last winter
no children or plans for children....EVER... lol
this motor is already very well built...i have pulled the motor and replaced it with the N/A high compression aluminator block with stage 2 cams, heads and every other bolt on on the planet attached lol..i really dont want/need another rebuild...they are a pain on these cars haha
the girlfriend has a very nice awd suv that she loves and i most definitely rather her drive the evo than the mustang...she cant push the clutch in on the stang its too heavy haha
i guess the only real thing that would hold be back is the fact that i wouldnt ome even close to seling it for whats been put into the motor i dont think.. theres over 6k in the motor and i dont know if these cars, when built, sell for more than that
Your car is beautiful, but sometimes you may need to move on.
The other day I noticed a small scratch on my car and contemplated getting rid of it for a nice DD, but I know I would miss it.
If you are to keep your mustang, you would have to make it faster than the evo. That's the only practical reason to keep it.
thank you..very true about moving on...i feel its time but idk if it would really be worth it...i feel you aout the scratch thing too...highway driving calls for a lot of chips...makes me sad...i wish i could make this car faster than the evo but i really dont want to throw another few grand at it for forced induction lol...i think ill just keep to having one car with a power adder...
after driving the mustang today maybe it would take the evo in a roll race but idk about off the line
any of you guys know how to upload pics on the mobile version of this site?
at least i know if i ever need to be talked out of somthing ill post it here lol
