What is that? 5.4 or 6.2?
 
I just looked at the specs, and I like it...but it requires too much fabbing to be a candidate for me.

Firstly, only one year was the "good one". It has to come from a 2010 Super Duty pickup. That'll get you 362 HP, and 457 ft lb torque.
But it don't like to spin......5200 RPM is redline.
Secondly, it uses the Modular bellhousing.....My trans fits SBF.
Next,.....I aint changing the ECU,.....I don't know what will be required to control the ignition.
Then,...From what I read, the cooling system is pressurized......cold.
Lastly,...The engine control unit has some weird BS that shuts off half of the engine if it gets too hot...

That all boils down to a pass for me.....

Let's get Steve to do it....Steve'll do it,..Steve will build anything.

Ahhhhhhh, but you were considering it, huh?
 
The Monster would become a TORQUE Monster if you put your turbo on that 6.8, even at 5 PSI. But I do understand the tuning in itself would be a chore, not to mention whether your MS is compatible. As far as the fab work, that is half the fun. The rest of us sit on our comfy couches and chairs and watch you figure it out and make it look sweet, all while adding clever commentary.
 
The Megasquirt has ran viper v10s but the ford engine is different.its something about the firing order. I did research to put one in my convertible...but the trans won't fit the tunnel and the radiator would have to be tucked or moved somewhere else. The biggest issue at the time was communication between the ECU and the trans.
