What has happend here ? Have you seen the price of restoration materials now days? We are paying double and even tripple cost for materials that are no where near as good as the materials we used to be able to buy. Most of the new materials are water born ,the clear coat on paints has to be sprayed several hours after tha paint is applied and i have seen the clear peel off in sheets because it just lays on top and doesnt bond to the paint .i just spent $62 for two tubes of water based seam sealer that is supposed to be so much better than the old sealer ,what a waist of money .
End of rant :bang:

You're in California, right? I was talking to the dad of the guy who is painting my car here in central Pennsylvania, and he was telling me how happy he was that they didn't have to use the water born stuff. Hard for me to imagine that paint, clear, or sealer that peels off isn't some sort of hazard in its own right.

Aside from paint peelings in the environment, ya can't throw away a tire, right? Try to get an environmentalist to explain away the millions upon millions of POUNDS of rubber worn away into dust, and left in, on, and along every roadway.....
