If you plan on running over 7500 RPM and 393 inches, your probly gonna need upwards of 750. I would probly go with an 850 if you want it to pull hard to 7500. Go with a Braswell, HP style Holley, or Dominator.

They add rigidity to the block. Especially in FE's were theyre closely grouped together and the motor mount mounts right inbetween them. I have seen freeze plugs pop out in this situation.

You should probly look into that main hoop. Structurally its defintely not the best design. Your triangulation doesnt meet up with the corners of the main hoop, and usually you want your X to center with the horizontal crossbar. I have seen cages fail at the very point because the cage builder...

The string trick sucks because you end up measuring the lowest part of the groove, where the belt doesnt even ride, youll end up getting a belt thats too short. Cut up a belt thats too large, then measure thatway you have the correct fit in the pulley and you actually get it right the first time.
