Brenspeed tune is going to pay for itself...

So after a year of running the tune that I got with my Tunable induction intake, I upgraded to a tune from Breenspeed. Now I am getting 2 miles to the gallon better than before and a much improved performance. With gas prices, the tune will pay for itself and I'll enjoy driving my car even more :)

    FI versus Nitros

I've gone both routes in the past. Nitrous is great for "fun" runs and a "cool" factor, but superchargers give you power all the time. Bottle refills are around $35-40 dollars for NOS and you get about 6 runs (depends on the shot).

Stripes? I am thinking of it...opinions

I got some stripes from Baltimore. Love them, except it took me 3 times to get it perfect...wanted to avoid the $800 from a shop, but I paid about $400 due to mistakes. They aren't hard if you have patience though. That, a garage, hair dryer for the bumper install. Couldn't do it without...I...

Got some new wheels and tires, what do you think

Looks great! Same wheels I put on mine and now I was thinking about the same side scoops you were and the blackout panel so you have my vote on those. Funny thing the other day is kids were walking by and ran up to my car and kept arguing if it was a Cobra or a Shelby...then they took some...

    lil love for the shorties

Long tubes are around 15hp and the shorties are worth about 3-5 hp. Install is what can really kill you at around $500-$600 in labor.

to tune or not to tune?

I put on a Demolet intake and 87 octane tune. When I ordered it, John Demolet told me that it was about a 5-6 hp differance between the 87 and 93 octane tune.

Shelby Razor wheels rub on lowered cars???

Just ordered them from Les Schwab. They are on backorder, but I'll settle for the wait. I'm picky when it comes to the "right wheel". According to what I see, the 20's are ony about 2lbs heavier than the 18. I hope this is really true because my biggest hold back on 20's was the weight...

Shelby Razor wheels rub on lowered cars???

Very cool news :D I'll see if my local Les Schwab can find stock somewhere and then on to bigger and better wheels!

Shelby Razor wheels rub on lowered cars???

I had my heart seat on the 20" Shelby Razor wheels, but then I saw some sales sites "Razor wheels might rub on lowered cars"...Anyone have a set on their stang that has a 1.5" drop? The wheels have a 24mm offset and are 20x9...

    Price check on Custom Tune

$300-$400 is the going rate for shops around me. I believe you need the sct tuner because the way the programer works in storing the stock tune, but I might be off.

    white deepdish 20" bullits?

I talked to Les Schwab here in Washington because I wanted white wheels for my yellow stang. They said they have a place that paints there truck wheels white that could do it for $50/wheel. Only trick is it has to be a painted surface, not polished or anything.

Help Please - CMRC delete or ???

It has been debated, but I've run them on many cars with no ill effects. If you sat at idle for a very, very long time you could drain your battery, but Ford has designed the car with a safety margin built in. Manufacturers like Steeda and Roush install pulleys and they are sold with the...

Help Please - CMRC delete or ???

Man, I wish I had a wife like that...The delete plates from Ford Racing are only $100 or so and then maybe an hour of labor if that. Upload the required new tune and you are set to go. The pulleys would be another good option. Around $200 plus an hour or so of labor.

    Auto, 4.10 gears dyno...

I dynoed it at Turbo Technologies in Tacoma. The tune is one that I got from the Tunable Induction gang when I got my intake. I'm thinking I need another dyno from another shop. Thanks for the tips everyone :nice:

    Auto, 4.10 gears dyno...

I dynoed my 05 automatic gt today in 3rd gear and got 262.8hp and 253lbs of tourqe. I have 4.10 gears, steeda pullies, flowmaster axle back and a Tunable induction CAI with a 91 octane tune. I am assuming I am losing a bit for the 4.10's being out back, but it's still a few ponies lower than I...
