    EFI on a 351C 4V

I run 42 Lb injectors, 90mm throttle body & MAF. You can certainly run less injector, and less throttle. It depends on the cam, compression ratio, 4V vs 2V heads, ect. ect. I think 24's are O.K. I run an EPEC with no IAC. starts and idles O.K., I may add a cold run dashpot, or solenoid.

    EFI on a 351C 4V

My EFI Attached is my intake pic. 80's Roush motorsport high rise vs a torker ( on right ). This is a height comparison, as the Roush is quite a bit higher with its air gap configuration. It also has raised ( and narrower ) runners. Welded in injector bungs, 42 lbs, 80mm, mass air, EPEC...

Why am I running out of breath at 4-5000rpm

What valve springs, and camshaft are you running?

    TICKINg NOISe....

Pull your valve covers and check for bent push rods. If you find any then replace them all, and put in better valve springs, or lay off the "ran it pretty hard" setting!

    351C Valley Pan under intake

I don't use it with aluminum intakes. Does keep oil from baking at/near the heat riser passage though, and by its design it will keep heat away from the intake runners a little. No affect there with air-gap manifolds!

    Are Roller Cams Worth It?

I have used both roller and flat tappet cams in my 351C motors. I have been successful with both. Both set-ups have definite advantages. I am currently running a hydraulic roller with EFI. I have more vacuum at idle with the roller cam. I had more peak horsepower with the hydraulic cam, due to...

    70 Mach Driveline vibration

I will verify the driveline angle at the tailshaft yoke to shaft vs the pinion angle to shaft. I believe that both are pointed down slightly, but I will admit I can't put an exact figure to the angles. Do you, or anybody else know what the maximum allowable difference is between front vs rear...

    70 Mach Driveline vibration

Tom, Thanks, I had a reputable Goodyear store mount the tires on the rims. I'm running P.S. engineering 17s with goodyear F1s. I was standing next to the tire guy when he spun them. They were running straight and appear true. I don't recall more than 1/2 ounce added to any of the wheels. I...

    70 Mach Driveline vibration

The drive shaft was ballanced when it was built for the Tremec swap. I may remove it and have it checked though. I can see that weight was added at the aft end near the rear U-Joint. I would like to assume that it was done properly, but I am open to getting it re-ballanced.... anything else...

Brake caliper leaks - your opinion please

The groove is there to make a sealing channel in the copper seal. You should try to very carefully clean all the paint away from the Cu sealing surface which is indicated in your photo. Then reinstall the line with NEW coppers with a thin coating of vasoline on both sides of the Cu seal, and...

    70 Mach Driveline vibration

Anyone know how much clearance is allowable between the tailstock bushing of a Tremec 3550 ( or any gearbox) and the Yoke? Mine feels kind of sloppy, although I don't have hardly any miles on it! I'm certain I would have noticed this sloppiness during the build. All the parts were new, and now...

FoMoCo suing companies using "Mustang" in their names???

We would be better off if we knew all of the facts. There is a good article in Mustang Monthly some 2 or 3 months ago, although it could be slanted. After all Ron Bramlett (Mustangs Plus) is the mags largest advertiser! I do not remember reading anywhere that Ford licensed these companies to...

    390 bored to 427

I had a full size merc' 67 Park Lane with a 410 in it. I had the engine out, and it is like I've read here. A 390 bore, with a 428 stroke. The wrist pins were high on the pistons as I recall, making pistons unique to the 410. It was a good torque motor. Good luck with your FE !

Weekend progress PIX engine build and mock-up....EFI

Nice looking job. Makes me want to go back into mine and clean up the engine compartment( wiring) a little! I must admit though, I sometimes wonder if I could have done a Windsor conversion faster than my Clev. By the way, did you detail your fuel system?

    Source for another 351C block?

For a decent street clev. get a set of Aussie closed chamber 2V heads. They will easily support 350 to 400 hp without leaning on the block too hard. I would probably stay away from the open 4v heads. There is no Quench, thus you can't run too much timing to them (opens) compared to the...

1970 Mach Front Suspension Fender Clearances???

You should drive the car for at least 100 miles before considering any change to the front coils. Just driving the car around the block will lower the front end a little, especially after raising the car, or one wheel. New front coil springs need to be run in. After you put some miles on it...
