its real simple to pull out the speedo, you should only have to trim one corner to get the 160 to fit in the tach is not removable like the speedo, mine car is a 4 cylinder conversion so i had to unhook the factory tach, i like the idea of putting abs over it with the running pony on it

been there done that, just put the 160 speedo in your cluster there is a wiring diagram on how to swap the different years, dont do it pull your speedo out and replace only the speedo

depends on year of car, some years flasher is in different places also check your ignition switch

it sounds stupid, but get a motorcraft solenoid i bought 3 advance auto parts solenoids they continued to hang up put on a used motorcraft and it works fine:shrug:

my car is a 90, my gauge cluster is from an 89(it was free) i had an 85 mph speedo and my tach was way off i have the wiring diagrams for both 87-89 and 90-93 my question is i dont want to rewire all 28 wires, i know i will have to rewire 2 grounds, high beams, both blinkers, illumination...

my friend has an 89 convertible, he just built a motor it a 393 stroked windsor running a 850 demon carb, msd 6al, and a duraspark distributor, around 5800 rpms it starts busting out any suggestions on what it could be?

i changed the whole cluster, its a 4 cylinder conv. my tach was reading double and it had a 85 speedo i think it was an 87-89 cluster and into a 90

thought about it, took a shower, thought about it some more i had to modify the bottom of the cluster because it was flat not curved im almost sure the cluster came out of an 89 i have the wiring diagrams for both(thanks to stangnet):SNSign:
