VIN is 2F05Q197668 - I looked at the decoder and it basically told me what I had. I guess its not the CJ or HO like I would have preferred, but its still good. At least it was factory 4v. It has a standard tranny that looks like it was factory (based on pedals not being jacked up looking)...

Does anyone know of a good site where I can enter my VIN and get back exactly what I have as far as engine, tranny, ect on a 72 Fastback?

Love my Jeep almost as much as my new Project Stang. Before I bought, I had to pull the Chevy AND the stang ant the trailer holding the stang out of the mud. then we could get it to my storage shed. Case in poijt. Stay out of the mud unless properly prepared, my friends. ;-)

That is scary stuff. There may be soem sort of law in Fl where if a vehicle is left at a "storage" or place of business, that the owner can calim the property as his and get title tot he vehicle. I wonder if that is what he was trying to do to you. Glad it all worked out. I've taken...
