I have this same EXACT sound on my car. I tried the piece of foam between the plate and transmission but it didn't seem to work. Perhaps I need to use more of it. I am 100% positive it's the same thing you guys are hearing, so it should have fixed it.

My issue with this is the fact that I have zero modifications to my exhaust beyond a pair of mufflers... and I have no plans for a cat-less anything, so why would they shut off my rear O2 sensors? All it's done is created a headache for me passing this emissions test. If I wanted headaches...
