Yes, its the wire coming off the cylinder for i suppose the chime.

I have a 1991 GT that was originally an AOD car that was converted to 5 speed and I noticed that the wire coming off the ignition key lock cylinder isnt connected and I see nothing to connect it to. Did the AOD cars not have them connected to anything?

What is this connector under the steering column on my 91 GT? Also, I cant seem to find the connector for the ignition lock cylinder. Is it necessary to have it hooked up?

I run RP's Syncromax in my 07 GT and it shifts great.

It is orange silicone specifically for exhaust leaks.

Im excited about both the twin-turbo V6 and the new 5.0. The twin-turbo sounds very exciting and can be a good compromise between power and fuel economy.

Did you look at the pipe before you put it on? It could be bent slightly and that could be causing the leak. If it is not that you can put some orange sealant on the pipe.

That sucks to hear about the trans noise. My 07 GT trans is quiet as can be. Have you tried changing the fluid? I put Royal Purple Synchromax in mine and it shifts much better.

You can try that and listen for pinging. If you don't hear any then you are good to go.

Why did Ford change from using 75w90 gear oil in the 8.8 to now using 75w140 in it? Wouldn't 75w90 return better economy and performance?

On the Cold Air question, since the CAI on the Shelby is the Steeda one, you can order their high-flow elbow for it. It would replace the factory elbow.

yes, all V8 05+Stangs have 31 spline units. It can be used in any 8.8 w/ 31 spline axles.

I got my 07 loaded like yours in Dec. with 8500 miles for $21.9k and it was Ford certified.

Because of the design of the 3 valve combustion chamber the heads use a new spark plug that is alot longer than the standard spark plug. That is why the plugs are different and are having this problem.

You better be careful removing plugs out of aluminum cylinder heads when they are hot. The threads could come right out with the plugs.
