5.4L DOHC MOD MOTOR in a Fox **PICS**

I am doing this same swap to my notch (in a few years at least) and was wondering what headers were used? You said stock, but I was wondering if it was the stock truck headers or stock cobra headers, and if so, what year? thanks:nice:

How long have you owned your 5.0

I bought mine on 7/30/06 when i was 16. it was a 4 cylinder car that I found on the side of the road for $900. I bought it, drove it for a while, parked it for the winter, swapped it, drove it all last summer, pulled the motor back out and am rebuilding it and am going to paint the car this year.

    SVO vs. 5.0

since i'm only 18 myself and have been in your shoes i guess i'll throw my opinion out there, so take it fwiw. instead of having all of these thoughts about swapping to a 5 speed and 3.73's etc. why not invest that time it doing all of the maintnence to make it run more efficiently, thus...

Look what I saw at junk yard today! Just incredible!

lol at that pic. i once had to bring my carbed 5.0 HO from my house to where the stang was and i had no cherry picker and no truck. so i wheeled the engine stand over, positioned the motor over the trunk of my 1996 chrysler new yorker, and unbolted it and let it drop right in. man that thing...

I know this is completely stupid but...

i think it looks cool, but i guess i don't take my car all that seriously. yes, its fast and when i race i like to be competitive, but i'm pretty open minded when working on and owning cars. as long as its fast and tastefully done i probably like it.

How about an SVO coupe? Just brainstorming...

i like the idea, but if it were me it'd be a black notch with the 84 svo front, 83-86 tails, 87-93 interior, draglites skinnies and fatties, and the front sitting a little lower than the back.

high schoolers when do you start?

instead of starting a new thread, i figured i'd just post in here since its high school related. but the other day after school i raced a kid's bmw m3 and lost by half a car. was a good race except i had a ****ty launch and spun a bit. not to bad for a $3000 vs $50000 car, but that non...

    Crushed.

over the last year i've crushed a '92 gt convert, and '87 4 popper hatch, and an '81 ttop 4 cylinder car without a second thought. the only one i stripped was teh '87, and i took the seats and rear end from the '92. i'd never crush a pace car or anything rare, but these were junk

Notch rear wings, come in for input

i say either the flat sheet metal drag style wing or a small, tasteful ducktail that goes the width of the car.
