Thanks!
Yeah your GT looks sweet, did you have more pics of the cougar or was it just that one? what are your plans for it?
I myself am aiming at the trans am look for my '69 :P
The wilwood spindle, how's the height on that one, from upper to lower balljoint compared to an early spindle...
Hi bnickel,
I've glanced at those wilwood drop spindles, and at standard MII spindles too for that matter.
It looks me as if the MII uses a front steer rack and spindles, is that correct?
If one were to use the MII spindle in an early mustang you have to place the r&p in front of the axle...
Hi!
Exactly why did you go with this setup, as your current one sounds pretty nice?
Are you in need of more engine compartment space or something like that?
Do you have R&P with your current/old setup?
Thanks!
Rusty67,
What's really the improvement with the Classic perform kit over an adjustable strut rod and "normal" lower control arm?
How do you set caster with that setup?
Stuff like this is really interesting, I wish i had more knowledge on the matter.
I thought the old Trans-am race cars had their LC point lowered.. seem to recall i've read that somewhere.
I'm not sure though but is'nt for instance Global Wests lower control arm angled in a different way...
It's hard to see in the picture, but did you go with the poly-bushing one?
If so did you have to do a lot of wrestling to connect the control arms to the axle/frame?
Yes, I'm sure people has used the g-bar, maybe they havent tested it more than driving it on the streets.
Maybe Reenmachine would know how it handles some spirited driving, I too would be intersted.
psydwaze, if you were going to use it for handling purpose only, which one would you use, g-machine MII or TCP coil over?
Assuming both had big brakes and r&p steering.
Do you mean the pro-motorsports shock tower reinforcement kit, that mustangs plus amongst others sell?
I put that in my now sold -67 fastback.
What do you want to know?
Not sure if I have any pictures of it still, I'll have to check.
