    Electric fan problem fixed

Yeah, a few weeks ago I posted up my problem. My electric fan wasn't cutting off, even with the key out of the ignition switch. It would run until the battery was drained. Well, I solved the problem tonite. Put a new ignition switch in, and it fixed the problem. Don't ask me how, but it...

    harmonic balancer

If it's a standard, put the car in gear and that will keep the crank from turning. Depending on how tight it is, you might have to put something in front of the wheels because you can move the car by turning the crank if it's tight enough. If it's automatic, you might have to pull the flex...

Went to track, kind of dissapointed..

I was just looking for some confirmation that my times weren't off a lot, because I know some guys who say their stock mustangs run 14.5 - 15.0 all day long (maybe with perfect conditions and all). But I guess I'm going allright. I'll keep trying though.

Went to track, kind of dissapointed..

I was hoping to hit a 13.99 but I think traction and my driving skills have alot to do with it. I notice we have basically the same mods, though. I was not powershifting, and my timing is set at 14 degrees.

Went to track, kind of dissapointed..

I took the car to the track last night for the first time. I was kind of dissapointed with the times. It was also cold outside (around 40 degrees, around 100% humidity). My mod as follows: GT40 upper/lower, 24# injectors, 70mm throttle body, 77mm mass air, cold air intake, 3.73 gears...

    Tire size recommendations??

I had 275's on the back of my 17 x 08, and they fit ok. But that is definitely the max you can go on a 8" wheel. 255's would probably look a little better.

    mac equal length headers

Just remember that MAC is known for poor quality, as far as headers go. My friend has a set on his 1994, and they were a PITA to get the individual header flanges to line up. Also, the coating is about as bad as it gets. Expect them to look like total ass within a few months, even if you...

    Turbo vs. Supercharger?

Money wise, I think a supercharger is a better option. But if money is no option, then a turbo is definitely a better way to go. I would love to put turbo on mine.

    Car running too cold..........?

What he said. When the thermostat is open, it doesn't allow the water inside the block to heat up. It is continually moving through the raditaor and back into the block.

    NITTO 555r owners/ smart peeps

I ran my DR's at 15 psi at the track, and they hooked decently. I never did a long burn out, just enough to clean them up a little bit. I was pulling 1.8 60 foots which isn't bad for a stock mustang with DRs.

Thinking about switching from my 1996 GT ...

4.6 are cool motors once you swap the PI heads and intake. I wouldn't worry about the $600 cams though. You don't really gain that much over the stockers. The $600 is better invested in head porting, or put towards a blower. IMO.

    Car running too cold..........?

I know this is a no brainer, but make sure you have a thermostat there. Some people pull them out during the summer months to help the car cool.

    Changing Dash Light...

You need to pull the guage assembly out. It's not hard at all. You'll need to pull the headlight switch, then the trim piece in front of the guages. Can't remember if it's a screw head or small bolts. You'll see it when you look up through the steering wheel. Then there are 4-6 more...
