    88 GT Resurection

UUGH!!! I can't believe how time has flown by. This car has been dragging out for WAY too long. My problem is I always buy something nice to drive so I never have motivation to get this one done. Lately I have had the itch to buy a late model Challenger. I won't let myself do it until this car...

    88 GT Resurection

Closing the shop was a love/hate deal. I love not having the headaches associated with running it, but I hate working for someone and not having the freedom I had before. I had the shop for about 15 years and I have to admit I got lazy. If I had worked as hard for the last two years there as I...

    88 GT Resurection

WOW...I can't believe it has been almost 2YEARS since my last update. After the economy died I had to close the shop. The Mustang was squeezed into my garage at home. I have still been working on it. Here are some engine pics. I was worried about the blower on a 10:1 engine so I took it off and...

    88 GT Resurection

The last thing I got done was to remove all the sound deadening material from the floor. Most of it was loose and pealing. I replaced it with Dynamat type stuff. Clean Floor Dynamat Floor

    88 GT Resurection

I was out of town and have not had a chance to update. When I had the pedals out I welded up an adjustable stop for the clutch pedal. Now I can adjust it to be the same height as the brake pedal.

    Brakes?

Keep the stock rotors. Save the money for something else. If you ever get to the point where you need better brakes go with the slotted rotors. The drilled rotors tend to crack.

    Help on brake light diagnosis?!?!

If the brake light bulb and turn signal bulb are then same then the problem is in the turn signal switch. The power from the brake light switch goes through the turn signal switch before going to the brake bulbs.

Blown engine....does this explanation sound feasible?

You are exactly right except the rod part. They are not cast iron. They are powdered metal. A cast iron part is made by pouring or injecting molten iron into a mold. A powdered metal part is made by putting powdered metal (think sand) into a mold then pressing it with an ungodly amount of...

Blown engine....does this explanation sound feasible?

:bs: I would not believe that one. The only way that could happen would be if there were a little C4 hooked up to your ignition James Bond style.

Matching Fog Lights to Factory HID

Hmmm....for the price I can get these for they are probably the Chinese crap.

Blown engine....does this explanation sound feasible?

I had on in the shop about a year ago. It was a Mercury Marquis, but still has the 4.6 / plastic intake like the Mustang. The car was towed in. The owner said she started it in the morning and it made an awful noise. There is a little oil leaking when the tow truck drive rolls it off the truck...

Matching Fog Lights to Factory HID

How much are HID kits? I am curious because I might be a dealer for a new company. I bought one kit to check them out. The ballasts are very small....1/2 thick and a little larger than a credit card. They have kits for just about any bulb retrofit and offer 3,5,6.5,8 and10K temps.

    Ignition set up

If you have a dist with points it would be a great upgrade. If you already have an electronic distributor then it is a waste of time and money (for the pertronics).

    88 GT Resurection

Next I pulled the pedal assembly and AC box. I took the pedal assy apart, blasted it, repainted and reinstalled it. Then I disassembled the AC box. I did not get the box done because all the parts did not arrive. I still need the evap I got on ebay. Rusty Pedal Assy Cleaned and Painted...
