Is it possible that the shaft going to the distibuter is not staying in place and as the engine vibrates, the shaft is slowly turning inside the motor. That could explain the timing changing. It is kind of off the wall but is it possible?

You may want to have the timing checked. If you hit it and it starts to run ok your distributer cap may be loose and a hit could somewhat put it back into position and then the vibration from driving could turn it slightly. Let me know when you figure out what it is.

Does anyone know if smoked head lights are legal in the state of Nevada and North carolina. I am stationed in nevada but my vehicle is registered and tagged in North carolina. I am having some trouble finding whether or not they are legal. :shrug:
