OBD Codes NOT READY For Inspection?

I'm not sure I'd want to be running a tune of unknown origins, especially since it's giving you so much trouble at the moment. If it were my car, and if completing the drive cycle didn't help, I'd probably just get new tune from Bamachips or something like that. That way I'd know exactly what...

    CORROSION!!!

Sounds like Ford is a being a complete PITA to deal with in getting these problems fixed. Has anyone come up with a permanent DIY solution to preventing the hood corrosion in the first place? If so I would love to see a how-to write-up.

Hot Rod Cams frustrations: Can Anybody Help?!

Strange problem. Have you spoken to the Ford installer since the issues started, or have you been working only with the dyno tuner? It might be worth the effort to get them both on the phone at the same time, since like tommyroc mentioned, it may be a problem with the cam and not the tune.

Kooks LT Headers - Self Install Thoughts

Mustang Monthly has a write-up on a BBK header install. I'd imagine the process is pretty much the same for the Kooks. Here's what they had to say about it: "Installing headers on the current Mustang is considerably easier than the previous-generation SN-95 car due to the overall larger...

Gear or tranny noise with new shifter

I've used Plasti-Dip in the past to deal with this problem with good results. It's a plastic coating that comes in liquid form but hardens to the consistency of plastic/vinyl after it dries. You can get it from Lowes or Home Depot. It's generally used for coating tool handles but when I had a...

swapping an automatic for a manual tanny

Because you can do a brake-torque launch with automatics, standing on the brake to keep the car at a standstill while you build up power by also putting your other foot on the accelerator. You can't do that in a manual car (unless you have three legs, I guess). Explained more clearly here...

    Hood struts

Any recommendations on the best place to get the MRT struts? I was planning on going with CDC until I saw this thread, I didn't know other options were available.

    Fast & Furious - S197 Mustang

I love the F&F movies. Yeah, they're stupid, but it's the fun sort of stupid. A guilty pleasure for me.

Just Picture it... The Nose Job on Vista Blue

CDC, painted to match the car. I'm not a fan of the more aggressive look of the Roush fronts.
