Replacing UCA and Mount in '12GT

A 24 inch and 12 inch 1/2"drive extension will let you reach the bolt from the next to the car. Makes it a lot easier, I realize not everyone has them, but may be a worthwhile investment if you plan to work on the car regularly.

Center Stripes, Who To Buy From?

Hi All, I want to put a stripe kit on my 2011 GT. I've seen a kit that has a layout I like. Curious if any of you have prior experiance with these guys. The link will take you straight there. I've been looking on google for about an hour and this is my favorite so far...

    Selling Mustang? Need help please!

Yeah I has heard of something like that before. I would not accept anything but a wire xfer. The email I sent as a reply was kicked back. It is really messed up. I knew there was no way it was true. I figured at the lease it was some dumb kid from another country. Oh well. Hopefully a...

    Selling Mustang? Need help please!

I replied to his email with the following. I must say I'm a bit nervous dealing with someone out of the country. If you can find a reputable auto broker I will be happy to deal with you through them. Thanks, Tim Does this seem reasonable? Tim:shrug:

    I'm a traitor! A Happy one.

Thanks for the replies. I'm really happy with the car. I have noted one thing. It seems when in traffic more people turn away with a disgusted look then smiling. I always get smiles in the mustang. I guess the Vette owners have some type of stigma that goes with them, I don't think the...

    I'm a traitor! A Happy one.

For those of you that know me, you are aware I'm a Mustang & Ford nut. I've owned a bunch of torino's and mustang's. I finally switched to the Dark Side, (sort of). I still have the '69 Fastback, and the '01 GT is doing fine. The '95 GT Vert was getting tired so I traded it in this past...

    Stangnet '69 Fastback - Update

Man that would need to be an all day event including a nap. I'd also need a fuel truck to follow me. Mapquest says you are 150 miles from me. I'm moving about 25-30 closer in the coming months but that is still a hike and a half. I get about 7-8MPG on the HWY, the 4.10's and 4sp keep the...

    big blocks question

I have, everytime a clueless engine builder gets a hold of one. There is a Brass plate pressed in the water jacket just under where the thermostat goes. It gets left out all the time. However, it is very important. It keeps coolant from flowing constantly. If left out fluid doesn't stay in...

    what intake for 351C 4v

Porkchop, I like the Edlebrock Torker. I run one on my car. As mach1one said, that cam might be a bit Tiny. What type of RPM are you planning on? I had a 280H in the past. It ran out at about 6100RPM. I switched to a Solid from Crower, Now I'm shifting at 6700-6800RPM and it is still...

    Stangnet '69 Fastback - Update

Where is the shop? I have a suspicion I live nearby. I could stop by with my '69 Fastback.

    What intake do I need?

I can't say this is true from personal experiance, but I've heard .060 over 289's are getting thin in the cylinder walls. You may want to save a few bucks to upgrade the cooling system. Anyone else with thoughts on this?

C4 questions (BM shifter kit and AOD)

A shift kit will not really give you anything in the seat of your pants. All a basic shift kit does is apply the bands and clutches faster. It actually helps with the wear of those parts too. There is less time slipping so the friction material stays longer. If your engine is making enough...

Where did you end up getting it?

    centerlink Question

Try Classic mustang parts of Oklahoma. They seen expensive but the do carry used and NOS parts. My guess is that many parts suppliers you are looking at have mostly repro parts. Also, Bob Gelsi of Gelsi's mustang world was always good to me when I lived near him...

    Air cleaner tech. clearance

Not a terrible idea, however then I need to worry about my headers hitting EVERYTHING. Including the ground, more often. I know it's not mush but I think it would be a far bigger hassle. I'd probably cut the hood first. Good idea though. :nice:

    Air cleaner tech. clearance

I deem it nessasary because the 4hole spacer I run, helps with off idle low-end power. More than that, the phenolic spacer insulates the carb from heat. I've been boiling fuel and fighting vapor lock lately. I am REALLY against cutting the hood. I've decided to buy a 1/2" 4-hole spacer to...

    Air cleaner tech. clearance

I have major clearance issues on my 351 cleveland. It's in a '69 Fastback. I'm using an edelbrock torker intake and 750 holley. I'm also using a 1in. carb spacer which I deem a nessesity. I now have very little room for an air cleaner without cutting the hood. The 13in. ford motorsport...
