I bought my 2003 GT two weeks ago. Whenever I am in 5th gear I get this whirling/almost grinding sound. It is pretty loud and sounds like it coming from the shifter area. When I shift out of 5th into neutral the noise is still there. From neutral I pull it into 4th and the noise goes away...

I had surprisingly very little tire spin. I paid close attention to slip the clutch and not dump it. I really sucks...I was hoping for to get some good baseline numbers for improvement. Guess this is why it was a "free" open racing weekend...they gotta work the bugs out.

T3650 Odd Noise when cold... I did some searching but I can't seem to find anything closely related to the noise I hear from my 2003 GT. Before the engine and trans get up to temp in the morning I have this low pitched whine similar to the sound of the heat blower motor (no the heat/AC is not...
