Just at some point in their lifetime they begin to pop, I think ford has a TSB for that.

The bushings on the rack & pinion are known to make popping noises specially when turning into driveways and such

5 quarts would put you at the very bottom of the dipstick mark, we would always put 6 at the ford dealer, but anywhere in between is safe for the engine, if you put 5 just make sure your engine doesn't burn or leak oil that will bring the level lower in between oil changes

Your rotors are probably glazed, you should have turned them when you did your brakes, turn your rotors and sand your brake pads lightly. Break your pads in by doing about 3 hard stops from about 30 mph down to a complete stop.

I believe the center bore on both cars would be 70.6mm. You shouldn't need any rings.

Check fuel pressure

That could mean a lot of things. Fuel pump could be bad, bad relay, blown fuse, inertia switch open. You should check if there is power at the pump with a meter and then go from there.

Why would you want to replace the relay? DO you have power going to the pump? Dont just start throwing parts at it

Make sure the bolt is snug and the connector is snapped on
