Just wondering what my options are with the 1998 GT 17" stock (split spoke) rim. I have 245/45/17's Uniroyal Tigerpaw GTZ (live in NE, need the all seasons) Time for new tires, wanted to go a little wider on the rears. I've seen some people talk about 275/40's working. I was thinking 265?

where is the weak point on the stock shifter? Mine feels like im shifting with a rubber handle. Would replacing the handle make it any better? I know the whole shifter is a POS especially after 140k miles of shifts.
