yea, the rings are $112, I was just planning on keeping it cheap. I really wanted to go all the way and its a roller cam, but $$ is tight right now. I think I will just save up the $$ and do it right and get a good bottom end buy some aluminum heads, and Intake and have them ported/matched...

well I was thinking right cus i just found several sites that says E7TE means 87 truck engine.. I'm on the right track but that don't explain why my piston rings don't fit or at least the oil rings don't fit.
