    Fuel Pump

gas consumption doesn't change. we have return type fuel systems so any gas that doesn't get used gets sent back to the tank

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

I'm no expert, but the TFI might be it. I know they get sensitive to heat as they go bad. They aren't that expensive so you could try it. With mine it ran worse cold than hot.

    Help with fuel leak

Yeah theres no need to drop the tank. I had a problem like this and replaced the filler neck grommet but it turns out the seam around the tank broke and was leaking out from there.

Distributor wasn't it. Guess that was a wasted 300 bucks. Oh well I have a cool looking distributor now :P I'm thinking i'm just going to take it to the dealership and let them see whats going on and then just fix whatever they say is wrong with it.

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

OK well I ordered a new distributor today overnight. Will get it tomorrow. I have a gut feeling that its a spark problem not a fuel problem because of the way it feels. Was going to just replace the PIP but I guess you need to have something pressed off to replace one so I figured I would...

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

No cats....so it can't be that. My gas tank has been leaking for awhile now and need to replace it....so while i'm at it I will get both the tank and a new 255 pump in so I don't have to do it down the road. We'll see what happens.

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

OK, bought a vacuum gauge and hooked it up. Depending on where the idle is at(its kind of erratic) it pulls about 16-18 inches. about 20 inches when at around 2000 rpm

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

Well FPR wasn't it either. I'm stumped. Could it be O2 sensors? Can they be bad and not throw a code? Like I said...it runs awesome at WOT. This sucks!

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

I got it. Just took off the TB and EGR spacer and that gave me enough room. Can't run it till tomorrow because I don't have the gaskets. Last time i just used black RTV. Never doing that again.

    Backfiring/Hesitation/Powerloss

Well I got a new FPR, but have no idea how to install it. Seems like I would have to take the whole upper intake off to get to all three bolts. I also took the vacuum line off of the EGR and plugged it. It may also have something to do with that. Seemed like it ran better. I have a blockoff...

OK i'm trying to replace my MAP sensor and noticed mine isn't connected to a vacuum line....I thought they were suppose to be. Mine is a '90. Anyone?
