    well ive mentioned a 408w earlyer thats what ive got but with .040 pistons so its a 410w. its going in a 65. your going to have to put a scoop if you go with a high rise intake. and there are long tube headers just for that setup. im expecting to get about 550 hp and about 750 hp with gas.

    i have a 65 coupe had l6 going with a 351w block and 408w stroker kit from coast high (would recomend them) .040 over pistons, rings, rods, bearings, crank. bout $1900 bucks for the bottem end 410w with .040 pistons all in the kit.

    the awnser is subframe connectors go to summit and you can find some bolt on. hold as bout as much as you wont to throw at it.

    so that brings me to another question. i no its very difficult to match paint but what about black (bass coat clear coat) because the car is at the shop now and close to paint. and i wont be able to get the hood for a while would it be difficult to match the car?

    i have to cut the hood for clearance for the motor so the air cleaner will be up in the cowl will it still be hard to deliver air? is there a size that you would advise?

    i would say yes if it was an everyday bodyshop that charges $50 an hour but my body man shut his shop down and started factory work for benefits because of his age. great man he only charges $10 an hour because it takes him so long. he calls it his sunday project.

    WTF is this noise, and why is it happening??

    check the timing chain it may have stretched and could be slapping and sounding like the tick of lifters. and also if the heads have been machine and had a valve job. they could of had a worn out tool and a valve may not seat right and may cause some noise back up through the carb
