Progress Thread Pearl To White - Paint Time

The first thing I'd do is check for leaks or fuel smell, cause you certainly don't want to have a fire after just getting it back. Is your FPG a mechanical one? Maybe pull the fuse for the fuel pump so it does not come on and see if the sound in front is still present and that will tell you if...

I love how you attached the cowl! But seriously, just glad you got it back and it's painted!

Build Thread Bird_dog0347's Frankenstang, sure is nice of us to build a car around the fuel filler door

For sure... it's been moving forward big time with a ton of stuff done. The engine bay got smoothed (pics later) and crash bar is tubular as well as Rad support being the new tubular one. Lots to come but on the bodywork side all the pics just look the same and if you're not there in person...

Build Thread Bird_dog0347's Frankenstang, sure is nice of us to build a car around the fuel filler door

So Kevin is still working away on the body and primer work, but It's getting close to being done with that part. Here's a few pics just to update the thread... once it's all in the same color and panel gaps are set we should have a pic of it all in primer together. Before and after on the...

So, inflation's a b@#$^, but car part inflation's even worse!

My car is all about a "swap"... hence the name Frankenstang. It's quite literally a mix of everything from 79-04 just taking the best from each option. And just FYI, the 4.6 Teksid block and crank are good to like 1500ish HP. :)

if you love something set it free... my fox body returned to me.

I personally use and prefer Maximum Motorsports for the suspension parts, and if you're looking for a good "handling bible" I'd start at the link below. They have tons of good information on their site. https://www.maximummotorsports.com/Getting-Started-C723.aspx

    2000 GT: More Cobra stuff

Short answer... yes it can be. More realistic answer though, it will be TOUGH to get it out fully but if you find a good PDR guy and tell him you just want it 85% then I think it will be a cake fix.

So, inflation's a b@#$^, but car part inflation's even worse!

It's stuff like this that makes the Coyote swap seem more reasonably priced.

Mid lenght sub frame connectors (straight)

I agree with the above statement, classic case of getting what you pay for. If you have access to a press you'll need to use it to put the bends in it or else you'll have to go through the floor with the install.

    Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Part 3

I got the total experience in my back yard... pretty wild man. And you are right it got colder and in a hurry too. I even got to see either a satellite or the ISS (not sure which) pass between me and the moon during the totality of it with my naked eyes, pretty awesome!

    SN95 Nick's '94 Cobra

That will all buff out no problem, get yourself a nice DA polisher, pads, and the appropriate gear and it will be better than showroom new.

Black Jack: Mark VIII fan is installed

Well, how did you like the eclipse? I was in the path and able to see the total eclipse in my back yard and man... that was awesome.

    Sub frame connectors

Yep, not a problem to add later. I think it's overkill anyway for the most part, but I can see how it might help on a vert. On a track car you're better off with a cage anyway.

    Sub frame connectors

As far as suspension or chassis, I'd go with either Stifflers or Maximum Motorsports (and personally have both for my car). My SFC's are the MM full length powdercoated units and they are excellent with great install instructions. I've ordered thousands of dollars in parts from www.lmr.com and...
