According to that picture there is room for improvement with the e-fan shroud. Shroud appears to cover 75% of the radiator at best and it has 1/2" gap on the end that suck hot engine air instead of sucking air through the radiator.
My Contour fans covered nearly 100% of my SVE radiator like...
I got full asking price so I’m happy. The guy drove 3.5 hours to get it which makes me happy because I won’t be seeing my old Fox driving around my town on occasion stirring up emotions.
With a good tune it'll easily handle up to 12psi. I've been running 11psi on my stock engine now for about 3 years or more. Stock E7 heads, stock head bolts, stock 31 y/o head gaskets, stock cam, etc. I make 365rwhp/396rwtq. Do it!!!
Maybe a 4.10 gear would get you through the traps at a slightly lower rpm to where you're still pulling in 4th gear and trap in the low-mid 5k rpm range? I doubt you're still accelerating much at 5,800 rpms.
Sweet Bird! What year? I was really interested in picking on up but I have 4 kids and I can fit 3 in the back of the Galaxie (it has seat belts out back for them). Couldn't fit'em in the Bird.
I think the track heat would match your cam better but I don't think that's what limiting you. Also, maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but injectors do not add HP, they only support it. You're good with those 24# injectors until you add more cubes or boost.

The COM failed and was upgraded to the C6 in order to handle more power. I might bore/stroke the engine, a higher priority for the car is to get a Ride Tech air kit for it and upgrade to disc brakes all around. This car, like my Fox, won't be so original for long.
