    Electrical 1966 289 Audio Interference, Noise, Whine

    This may not even be it, but I would make sure the engine is grounded properly, there should be a block to chassis ground cable that gets lost over the years on these cars. Good luck and please update if you solve it with this or another method.

    Thanks for the reply. I think this may be the ticket for me. I might try the lower kit they have and go for a different upper later on even to save some cash up front, trying to save for a house and upgrade the stang at the same time is a challenge haha

    Dont wanna give this guys secret out but I have seen an 05 gt on 20's with the bfg kdws, i think 285's in the rear, with that aluminum cold air kit, rear mufflers and dyno tune. His times were 8.66 @ 81mph or so i think with a bit better driving it could have done 8.5 or 8.4

    MM&FF if im not mistaken was the mag that head shoot out and the 165's and 185s took the win for their class, so if you a good head go with afr. Another thing though you may run into clearance issues depending on which afr head you get as well as most other heads.
