    Why Today Of All Days.....

Waaay OT: How's Y-town? I spent the first 23 years of my life there. :) Congrats on the baby, My wife just delivered our first... and second, about 7 weeks ago. I'm not sure if this is your first or not, but they change your life far more than you think they will. I was blown away.

    breaking up from 4,400-4,900!!!

Had a similar problem a few years ago. Swapped out the plug wires and it disappeared. There was no visible signs of cross-arcing either.

Total Suspension Review, experts please come in.

It never fails to amaze me that after all this time, people are still discussing the pre-05 Mustang suspension. 20 years from now, I'll log into SN, click on the "94-95 Classic Stepchildren" forum, and there will still be threads on how to improve these things. I would have hoped that if our...

ahhh!!! where can i find this bracket?????

Good luck without the tensioner. You're better off either replacing it, or coming up with some other creative idea for getting some form of dynamic tensioning in there. The static tensioning of the alternator won't cut it.

Power Windows vs Manual Windows..Help Asap Please

The doors are all the same. All your manual window / lock stuff will transfer right over into the new door without a problem. That's why it's so easy to swap to power accessories on a GTS. All the wiring pigtails are already there so you just bolt in the new hardware, plug it in and go.

Reaching out for my wife ...

East Florida (Melbourne). I'm just off the I-95 if that's the route you're taking. PM me for additional info if needed.

Can't get the drivers door open. Grrrr.

And the interior handle doesn't work either? If that's the case, it sounds like you're going to have to roll down the window and get in through there with a hooked device (slim-jim, stiff wire with a hook, whatever) to get a hold the door catch and retract it. Grab a friend to hold the...

    Alaska bound!

At the very least, it'll still be sloppy in March but use some sense with the loud pedal and you'll be fine. The main reason I vowed not to take a car up there is I occasionally have to just stomp on it for a few seconds to remind myself what torque is. Up there, you can't do that for 4 months...

    Alaska bound!

Yeah, good luck with a high power rwd in AK. I was up there in Dec a few years ago and decided that if I were to live there, I wouldn't take the car. However, to answer your question, get a block heater as all the bases up there have plug ins in the parking lots for the winter. Fill your...

K-member swap with engine in car

I used some heavy duty ratcheting straps and secured the engine to the strut tower brace. Once I unbolted the engine mounts and was able to raise the engine an inch or two, I dropped out the K-member. No problems.

    T56 Carbon Fibre Blocker Rings

Never had problems with my D&D T56 however I didn't have it that long before selling it. Another T56 I had built with CF rings never had any problems though and I drove the absolute piss out of it for several years under dire conditions to say the least.

Official Mbr Vs. Founding Member and Custom

For the record, doing/saying something stupid isn't the only way to get a CT. Bribery works too. :D

    Tubular K-member Question

Completely untrue. As a matter of fact, I can't think of any parameter of a k-member that would even come into question as a manual r&p is dimensionally the same as a power unit. I had a Griggs unit (cough, cough, currently for sale, cough) that would work with either. Any aftermarket...

Check out this idiot trying to load my car onto a trailer!

Looks to me like he was trying to be as careful as he could in a car that wasn't his and he wasn't comfortable driving. If it were me, I'd be especially careful since some guy was standing there with a camera instead of doing something helpful. But hey, it's football season so what's one more...

    D and D trans ????

I had one of their Viper spec T56's. If they do their regular rebuilds anywhere near the quality of their high end stuff, you won't have any problems.

    GTS vs Fully Loaded GT

All other things being equal, any car that is lighter than another will be faster. So yes, a GTS is faster than a GT.

ANYONE?? do suspension bushings and really love a particular brand??

Delrin (acetal) ----------> Old 'n' busted UHMW polyethylene ---> The new hotness Acetal (Delrin is a product name, like Kleenix of NOS) is a good material but has a few drawbacks for use as control arm bushings, especially compared to UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight) polyethylene. 1)...

    Finally weighed the car...

All things considered, that's a damn fine weight Paul. But since we're comparing the size of our, well you know, mine weighed in at 3007 without me (3167 with me and full race gear). And that was with iron heads and AC. :D

How much is a passenger side air bag worth and what is needed?

Currently, it's an 83 Jeep CJ-7. I'm trying to convince the wife to let me get a Lotus Exige though. We'll see. And just so I haven't made this a complete hijack, I see both airbags (DS and PS) on ebay for ~$350-$400 all the time.
