Forgot to mention that I'm going to put on a cold air intake..

I am very new to the fuel injection stuff. I have been old school working with carbs. With the better flow exhaust I think I should have more air intake but now sure. I was wondering if a bigger throttle body would be the answer and if so do I need to change the mass air also?

This is my 85 LX 5.0 it has MAC shorty headers but not sure what the cat pipe is. I am thinking about getting the MAC catback 2 1/2" with 3 1/2" tips. Also wondering about running with cats or without. Sorry about the pics but the best I can do with the car stored for the winter. Butch

My car idles perfect no surging it is just when I rev the engine it takes a few seconds to come back to idle not like the cars I owned with carbs that would drop to idle right away.

It is an auto, mass air conversion SEFI

When I rev my engine it very slowly goes back to idle. Is this common or is something wrong? Butch

I need to replace the exhaust from the cats back. I want an exhaust that has a nice mellow sound but not real loud at highway speeds. Also would like it to be 3" with big tips. Not sure if this is possible but am hoping there is one out there that will fit the bill. Butch

Thanks for the info. I have to find one center cap mine has a dent in it but do like the way the wheels look on the car all but the fronts are a little too wide and are hitting something when in a real tight turn it is a metal to metal grind noise so have to look into that. Under normal driving...

It too me a while to find the right 4 eye but I think I did. I just love the look..

I just looked and my car has the 8.8 which is great.. I thought the wheels were cobra but wasn't sure. All I know is this car is a real tire burner even though it is an auto. I'm 65 years old and am having fun with it. Too bad winter is coming and I have to put it up but look out spring..

Ok ral dumb question... What is SEFI new to mustangs with efi.

The vacuum hose is not on the MAP sensor on the firewall.
