My 2 cents.....
I just got a K-Member and A-Arm kit from PAracing and I'm real happy with it so far. I've gotten the K-Mem and arms mounted up and the less weight and increased header room (2" headers) is impressive!! For the coilover kit I went with one of X2C Motorsports 175# kits, it also...
You'll have to most likely loosen all the oil pan bolts in order to drop the pan enough to get the timing cover off and back on. Be real careful with the timing cover gaskets/seal. Most of the timing cover gasket kits come with "shorty" oil pan gaskets that you'll be able to use some RTV to tack...
From what I've heard, read and seen you'll wanna use a solid bushing mount Caster/Camber plate with a front coilover set-up and Not one with a poly type bushing. The Hotchins use a poly and I haven't heard of SouthSide making a C/C plate but I'm still using their LCA's... :D

Cervini's has a good reputation, best to buy one of them at a show/race so you can see/feel what your buying when posible.. :nice: ......Also checkout www.HOfibertrends.com Dave does some real nice hoods from tame to wild (I have an 8" cowl to windshield from him :) ) Alot of the real clean...
Don't forget about HPM'S. I just ordered a set of them from Jason @ PAracing 812-524-7177. Nice guy to deal with and he's only a phone call away to help you out when you run into a snag with a project. :nice:

I've used Canton pans for a few years with no issues. Have one on the shelf for the next motor. Good friend of mine has a Stef's pan on a BBC, nice piece but like Rick said lil' pricey. Couple people I know running the Moroso pans haven't been too happy with them do to fitment issues. When...
Hey Mark, yeah when it comes to class racing things will get crazy trying to get the edge over the guy in the other lane. GunDrilled axles, lighted rear gears, light weight drive shafts (carbon fiber), etc...etc...just a tip of the iceburg. Currently putting in a PAracing k-member kit here to...
Lighter rotating mass in the drivetrain equals less HP needed to turn it resulting in less time to reach a certain speed. Some class racers even go so far as using shaved/lightened rear gear assemblys! As far as the vibration goes my thoughts are the driveshaft will be turning alot faster with...
Maybe checkout the Chat over @ www.Hardcore50.com til maybe a chat comes along in here. Usually a good bunch of people there everynight starting around 9 pm EST. :nice:

I got a set of the Vic Jrs set-up for a solid roller cam from Pro Power in Fla for $1159 awhile back. Since then Edelbrock has had a price increase and I believe they're like $1259 assembled for a solid roller from Pro Power. They are a nice head for the $, I'm going to just do some minor cast...
Only 4 Cleve's and 10 FE motors? LOL,,,, Guess that makes you da man. then...LOL..(in your mind) ...
If your so upfront to bash the Cleve short block I'd like some info on why?.....
the stuff will rock with the right combo and juice...
Tater :nice:
ok........
sooooo....you own alot of Motors and topend combo's. What have you run with car weight# and combos?.....You should has some killer times/combos without those no-good Cleve short block's??....It's not the idea of owning more engines than us Average Joe's........It's the combo with...
The 351C and the 400M cranks are different......
SmockD......have you ever run a cleveland based combo? or are you just going by what you've read/heard?
Just tryin' to finger out why your so against a stock block Cleve and Stock 4V headed combo...
they work and are with-in the average...
With such an aftermarket of parts available today it kinda makes it easy to build a Windsor. As far as the stock Cleveland short block being junk ,I have to disagree. It's hard to beat the cost for a donor core motor from a salvage yard to start with. I usually only spend $50 for a decent core...
Here's what I use on one of my cars. A Griffin 31 x 19 Aluminum Rad., a Ford Focus dual 11" fan set-up with the Focus shroud, a flow-cooler plate riveted to the back Impellar on the stock water pump. I wired the dual fans up individually and control them manually. This set-up has kept my car...
Hate to hear about bad deals like this GearHead.... :notnice: ....I bought a front coil-over kit from the same person and everything seems to be ok with it. Hopefully you can get it resolved since what you bought/got and what was advertised seem to be two different things???... ...
If thats the original motor in the truck it's most likely a 351/400 M motor and not a C. One way to check to see if it's a C is to look at the Thermostat housing mount on the block. If it is raised somewhat then it's a M motor, if it's about flush with the area where the distrib. area is its a...
