Yeah I’ve checked tps several times. I think I set it around .90 last time. Next year I want to get it dyno tuned to see if air/fuel/timing everything is good and see if they can work out the bugs for me.

Alrighty. What area of the engine compartment would you like to see? I have replaced the coolant temp sensor a few thousand miles ago when I was going through it. I can check it now though. I recall checking for voltage based on the coolant temperature if I remember correctly.

Had to think.....that is probably the only one one I didn’t replace. Pretty sure I checked voltage on it back then. It was last year when I was really going through everything. Probably worth looking at again though.

This picture looks like the hinges aren’t bolted to the car tightly. I see a gap between hinge and body. I’d check that if it were mine.

Well I got my auto meter long sweep gauge in. My factory gauge would read right in the middle but would idle a bit cooler, and turning on the headlights made the temp gauge go up a hair. Now I know, my first drive with the outside temp at 39* that my car runs at 188* and will idle around 192*...

Well I thought about it, and amazon had an auto meter full sweep electrical gauge on sale for $66. It was the last one so I got it. Not a black background like I wanted but I saved $113.00 haha. Thanks for the info. Gonna return the other gauge whenever it gets here.

Well dang, I’ve got a mechanical gauge on the way because I thought they were better just from the little bit I’ve read. Too late now but I guess I’ll do some more research on them.

Just ordered a gauge and the single pillar mount deal. Looks pretty good. Wish I could just put a better gauge in the factory spot. But I think this will look clean.

Just wanted to update Incase it helps anyone in the future.....after all the new parts, I haven’t seen coolant flow from or to the overflow tank. And if I take the radiator cap off when it’s completely cold, I get a surge of pressure release. So I put the old cap back on and drove it. Overflow...

UPDATE finally; Got a motorcraft vss, and yes that fixed the speedo. But the cable was extremely hard to insert. After inserting it, there was more resistance when turning the driven gear, which resulted in a jittery speedo needle. Long story short, my new speed cable was maybe, 1/4” too long...
