Car won't pass out of provice inspection

Honestly I haven't looked far into how much I could get for it. I assume I could get more for it if I parted it out but I don't have to the time to do it. It has a black interior, headers, pullies (I believe), offroad pipe, and 3.73's. What do you think it would be worth?

Car won't pass out of provice inspection

I have a 1990 lx 5.0l with 165,000kms but due to it being a Manitoba Car, the underside of my car is rusted beyond repair. It's going to cost about $4000 to fix it temporarily. This means I'm getting a new car, quite possibly an 06 GT. So what would you do? Do I attempt to trade it in...

    smog checks in ALBERTA

When you go to get it saftied, just tell the mechanic that you will do everything yourself, your just not a registered mechanic. That way they won't bother to sell you anything and they get the impression that if they do recomend something, they think someone else will look at it.

    Rear brakes work.... sometimes.

My brakes have been very weak for the last few monthes and I've finally decided to do something about it. I assumed I just needed new pads and rotors (which I do) but my rear brakes dont seem to work well. When I brake, the car nose dives a fair bit. Also after I put the handbrake on and...

Access to parking light / horn wires?

I'm installing a remote keyless entry system in my 90 lx. I was wondering if anybody knows of any easy way to access the parking lights / horn wires without running extra wires under the hood.

My Engine is Out of My Car...All of the threads

If you don't want to involve a lawyer, contact a local TV station. I'm sure they'd love to have your story on the news as a "Consumer Report". Might get the dealership to cooperate a little more.

    Speed warning?

There must be some way to turn it off. I know you can turn off the beltminder thingy be doing a series of turning the lights on & off and pushing the seatbelt. Check the owners manual, or ask your dealership. For the sake of the mustang, I hope you find somehting.

    Alternator Upgrade

I'm instaling a 130 Amp alternator tomorrow. Installing it and upgrading the wireing is a joke. The only hard part is finding a 130 (I used a 125A) fuse. I swear people think your building a bomb or something when you ask for one.

    Autoelectric place in Calgary

Turns out it is my alternator, just not in a normal way. I traced the short to my alternator. My alternator seems to be draining 4 amps when the car isn't on. I'm thinking it's time for a 3G upgrade.

    Alternator DRAWING 5amps

I think I know the answer to this but I wanna get someone else's opinion before I drop a couple hundred on a new alternator. I've been chasing down a short in my car that kills the battery overnight. I found out my alternator is drawing 5 amps when the car is off which is more than enough to...

    Name that wire

Turns out that wire I took off was the alternator wire. My best guess right now is that my alternator has some sort of an internal short thats drawing current when the car is off.

    Name that wire

I just realized that for some reason my battery light is on. The battery is still well above 12 volts. I'm wondering if that wire is somehow related to the light.

    Name that wire

I've recently found out I had a short (My battery would die overnight). After determining it wasn't any of the fused circuits, I put an ammeter between the distrobution block and each individual wire connected to it. One of the wires was drawing 5 amps when the car was off. I disconnected...

    Autoelectric place in Calgary

I don't trust my alternator much but I don't think it's the problem. This is because I charged the battery to around 13 volts. Then I left the car over night. In the morning I checked the voltage and it was at 4 volts.

Cruise control not working. Anyone have any diagnostic help?

I've heard a common cause of this is a busted switch. My CC is busted right now too. It used to work when I pushed the buttons down really hard but no longer. I've been meaning to fix this for a while, just never got around to it.
