Pulled the carb from the 289 because of an idle issue. Lots of oil under the spacer and leaking from pic hose. Compression checks great on about 40k miles. Not much of a baffle in the stock valve cover? Pcv valve seems to rattle fine. Plugs look great. Solutions?

I want to convert a 66 289 from single to dual keeping stock cast manifolds and no thru the valance exit. Looking for a kit with all the parts required to hang it in there. Soooo many various options from the aftermarket out there. Who does it right?

Thanks. I have a 260h comp cam in an SBC stroker for a 4x4 rock crawler with efi and it's great for that. For the mustang it's just needs a little wake up, but I want to maintain a civilized idle.

Comp cams selector sodftware recommends their 252H. Anyone with opinions/experience with it in this scenario?

All was good then the noise returned. Jammed up the starter for a bit. Now these were found. ??

I understand that "bolt on" rarely is. I have the tools and resources to deal with any tweaking needed. I don't put the car in the hands of shop monkeys unless absolutely necessary. Even the tire shop only gets to handle the wheels :D

I've seen a couple of the kits online and am more or less looking for reccomendations from amyone with experience with any of them. Good or bad. Not going to leave the car in the hands of a shop.

Opinions... Is there any real benefit to adding an MSD or smiliar ignition module to your stock type V8 engine? Performance? MPG? Do they help with pre ignition "pinging"

I cut slit in the carpet on the inside of the rocker/sill area. It routes behind the carpet till it can go past the rear seat and up into the cavity behind the rear quarter panel. Then into the trunk lid bracing. It took a lot of fine tuning adjustment to get to release and not hold the latch open.
