    Attention: Stick shift owners

    Sometimes it sux ass in heavy traffic, but that's mainly from having a stiffer aftermarket clutch. Otherwise I've always enjoyed driving stick-shift cars, feel like I'm more in control of the vehicle no-matter what it is. Don't let your dad talk you out of it just cuz he doesn't like em.

    LS1 style manifold

    05 Mustang has a front facing TB manifold like the LS1's/LT1's I'm sure it could be fabbed up, but I'm not sure who does em other than Hogans. And they can be expensive.

    It's raining inside my car!

    I had the same problem....pretty much ruined my headliner. Ended up being one of the cups that the sunroof slides into had developed a leak. Put some clear epoxy on it and voila, leak fixed!

    Transmission question

    If you're going with gears don't get 3.73's....you most likely won't be happy w/ them and the slug of an AOD. Go w/ 4.10's, you won't regret it....save the 3.73's for manual cars.

    I had them on my 95GT and they were a pain to install. I had to pry or keep pressure on almost every tube to get the bolts in.     I would take that as it being stuck or gunked up. You'd be amazed at how many times I've come across something that messes up that was working 2 minutes ago!

    Could the the Idle Air Control solenoid...the long one on the side of the TB. Try takin it off and cleanin the hell outta it w/ some carb cleaner. Basic place to start, then I'd also keep my eye out for vacuum lines.

    Even if they are "made" by Goodyear I've never heard of em. When it comes to performance tires I stick to names that I've heard and seen...nothing less.

    Do all GT rear bumpers need turned down exhaust tips?

    Get a cobra bumper...or similar w/ provisions for tailpipes. If you put tailpipes on a GT bumper or cutout the bumper for tailpipes it will look gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

    advice on engine combo

    You could probably hit those numbers w/ a GT40, I've seen some sick combo's making insane power w/ GT40's (heads/intake)...but you've got a similar combo to what I want to build. I plan on using the Holley intake w/ the AFR 185's...blown you'll see 500+hp easy.

    I'd see if I could pirate a set of stock lifters and replace them on the passenger side to see if anything changes. Could have some worn lifters, not sure why it's just the passenger side though.

    HELP:Almost got beat by a Turbo Talon

    If that guy was only at your bumper by 120 then there's not a whole lot to worry about...that's still a big gap when it comes to hp. If you had 3.55's or 3.73's you probably would have had a car length on him. The SC will give you buslenghts on this ***boy.

    Could clutch cable be my problem?

    If you hear a clicking noise right when the clutch engages it could be the TO bearing or the pressure plate itself.

    Cost to rebuild a T5?

    I bought a 2.95 upgraded gearset (same as T5Z) and a rebuild kit from a guy on the corral and got my trans rebuilt for a grand total of $707.... $607 for the gearset and rebuild kit and $100 for the rebuild. It can be done for cheap!

    5.0 mag: BBK longtubes make LESS power than shorties

    From what I always understood is that longtubes are better at exhaust scavenging...and tend to create more torque than the shorties. But how many engines did they test the headers on? Who's to say that the longtubes won't outperform the shorties on a higher hp or more radical engine!?

    Stock tach =good reading?

    when I cruise at around 45 in 4th my stock tach reads 200 rpm or so lower than my autometer. I trust the autometer more than the stock tach!
