Im pretty sure you do have to discharge... on a side note:I did mine on my capri(no a/c)took me about 10-15 min. how come it took you so long?? :rolleyes: j/k you could have a shop evac it, but I dont know if they'd keep it for you while you replaced the heater core. try to find a shop...

there is a guy around here who runs 10.8,10.9 and was working fine. he has now switched to aod I think(dont know exactly why) regardless-I would suggest getting at least a 3550

UPDATE!!!!!! got a balancer from a budy and compared to the one on the car...10* off. cant beleive the difference. doesnt seem to be running on 7 cyl any more... THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED!

its nothing out of the ordinary. my t-stat never worked from day 1. just wire it to a switch and turn it on when you start the car. did you have to bend your rad. to make the fan fit ok? I had a fms alum rad and that fan... I had to cut off a plastic nub on the back of the control box...

the 93 cobra computer was supposed to use 24 #ers. Ive heard some people have used 19#ers. some worked ok, some didnt!

my girlfriend's 88gt will be receiving the lentech valvebody, the edge torque convertor(I think lock up?) and a new shifter. to answer your question- I talked to edge racing and I believe they said a lock up would be better for hers. (she also has 4:10s) hope this helps a little
