    Is my 331 a 347?

You can measure your stroke by hand since no pistons are installed. You should be able to tell the difference between a 3.25 and a 3.4" stroke with a good machinest scale ( rulers are kings). Why wonder, find out for sure. Also any part# stamping on the crank would work as well.

'89 and up Mustangs came with World Class T-5's?

83-84 Non WC T-5. These do not have roller bearings for the countershaft and no caged needle bearings under the gears. They still make non WC T-5's for wimpy applications (cheaper) these had 2.95 first 85-89 First series WC-T5 These had the 3.35 first, and all the good WC upgrades 7 tooth...

    are gt40 heads any good?

You can get a set of brand new GT-40P heads for under $500, so a pair of used ones stock should go for $200 or less. I have heard stories of$250 - 300 with the intake for pulling off a wrecked Explorer

pedistol mount or stud mount rockers?

Stud mount rockers should NEVER loosen up. All Ford rockers I have seen use good locking nuts, those hold on nice and tight Not the cheapo Knurled or Nylock nuts that cheapo Chevys use that only hold tight the first time put on the stud. The studs are screwed into the heads, cheapo Chevy heads...

pedistol mount or stud mount rockers?

3/8" rocker studs will be fine as well, lots of rockers avail for that application. All the Edelbrock stud mount heads use 3/8" studs and all small block Chevy's use 3/8" studs. The only motors I knew of that use 7/16" rocker studs are big blocks.

Engine mounts? Solid, Poly, Stock? And Why?

For 93 they used the same part# for the vert and hardtop since they finally figured out the hardtop mounts were crappy. According to the AZ website you want Anchor 2726 $28.99 for pass side, and Anchor 2725 $21.99 Drivers side. I thought I got ripped when I bought mine last year

Engine mounts? Solid, Poly, Stock? And Why?

The convertible mounts look completely differrent than the stock mounts, and seem to be totally wrong untill you realize they replace the upper bracket that bolts to the motor as well. The big advantage is the convertible mounts actually have a mechanical interlock, compared to the stock mounts...

Could my stock 5.0 beat a '81 chevy monte carlo with a 350?

:nono: I'd be a little carefull here. Like mentioned the biggest stock V-8 option for a 81 monte carlo is the 150 Horse LG-4 305 which if lucky will break into the 17's :barf: A "stock" 350 will range from the wimpy L-65 145 HP 2 barrel, 165 - 175 HP LM1 (same motor but 4 barrel carb) up...
