check out this rack and pinion

Hey, Dustin! I think the Unisteer thread might have the answers you're looking for. I searched for Unisteer, using this board's search function, and it came back with a ton of results. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/666586-unisteer-rack-pinion.html

    05 3v 4.6L conversion

If the SOHC motor is narrower, according to Ford, than the 460 motor, which fits fine between the '69 shock towers, I'm wondering if you'd have to trim at all, which is why I'm hoping someone has done a test fit already. The DOHC, however:

    05 3v 4.6L conversion

Has anyone done a 3V test fit yet with the OEM shock towers in place? Page 108 of the 2009 FRPP catalog has the 4.6L SOHC motor at 25 5/8" wide and the 460 motor at 26" wide. Taking into consideration that the 460 is just as tall (without carb) as a fully dressed SOHC motor, it SHOULD be some...

Racing seats for a 65 coupe

I came into this thread with the intention of recommending some Evo recaros. Having owned an Evo IX, though, the driver's side would always squeak or creak when I bent backward a bit and it bothered the JESUS out of me. Fairly sure it's a dealer-type noted and documented fix that's an easy...

    just put in some HID's

Right. But this thread is about the kit you got these from your distributor. You're asking if there's any interest. We are asking you specifics and your answers have been along the lines of 'WHO CARES?' and more or less thinking people solely want these for the BUH LING SUPER EURO COOL...

    just put in some HID's

You're close. Since the projected glare is too high, moving the bulbs that far downward would render them useless. Vs.

    just put in some HID's

I think what people are trying to ask is if these headlights have a proper OEM cutoff, or are they like every other super glare cheap eBay rebased kits? This post makes you look like a gigantic douche bag. :flag:

what t56 will work with my application

Quicktime makes a bellhousing that'll mate the 03/4 Cobra and also the Viper T-56s to a small block Ford. Be weary though, since you've got a '66, you'll have to cut your trans tunnel.

Neither a Cracker Jack box nor Stangnet Classic Tech, thus far, has put an LS motor between '65 shock towers. Your statement is 100% accurate.

That would have been a much better question. With the answer thus far being nobody. I wasn't being short, I was answering your question. You asked a fairly general question and I gave you fairly general answers, but I am also fairly certain the answers I gave are correct. I can't really...

I don't think you've read any of my posts. You're asking for specifics on a board that has never done what you're asking. You're asking for specifics regarding a swap that would be completely custom where you'd have to pull out a ruler and a welder. You're getting offended for the wrong...

    5.3l lsx in 65 stang

I would recommend physically measuring the motor or asking somebody who has one for sale. You're asking a board full of 289/302/351W/351C/390/427/428/429/460 owners the specifics of a 5.3 Chevy delivery van motor. The best way to mount the motor would be with engine mounts attached to the...

How do I find original details?

Also, if you only have a VIN and no door tags (like me), you can also get a Marti Report and get the full stats on your vehicle. https://www.martiauto.com/secure/vinreports.cfm

Wouldn't be hard to use the GM harness and ECU. Friend of mine did with his LS1 in a 240Z swap. Oh and if the OEM exhaust manifolds interfere with anything upon installation, buku bucks for custom headers or having to do ghetto hacking.

Wait a little while and go with one of the 350HP EcoBoost engines from Ford.

Custom motor mounts, custom oil pan and pick up, custom transmission cross member, and since you're a '65, hacking the trans tunnel if you choose to use a T56, and then probably need to modify the driveshaft length.

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

I got a power rack and pinion from TCP put in my '69 fastback. Night and day difference and I have 245s up front. In the past year I've owned a '07 S2000 and '06 Evo IX, so I can relate to your pain. My steering wheel went from an eighth turn of play/slop to none. It's a new car. The only...

Then adapt a DSM cam angle sensor to it and feed the MS the signal. He said DIY right? A little batch injection never hurt anyone.

Classic Mustang MAF SEFI and No Dizzy

A friend of mine did nearly exactly what you're looking to do with a 351C, but with a MegaSquirt. He used DSM coils, a custom crank trigger, and a modified (cut) distributor so the oil pump would still be driven.
